conceit and complaining

September 27, 2013

i’m not very angry
but i’m not very interested either
you can get used to a lot
call it crazy, call it uncomfortable

in any other time
or any other place
i would be dead by now
i don’t doubt it

but as i get older
i become more fearful
i always thought i’d get better
by now certainly

i’d have something else to say
something else
something worth talking about
from the inside – out

but i’m not going anywhere
i’m not doing anything
i’m not very angry
but i’m not very interested either

  1. Ryan Roling Says:

    Change.

That’s what you need. Not that you need to change, but that you need change.

I’m not talking some portion-of-a-dollar type of change. You need the whole buck.

Do something to turn your world upside down.

Move to Rwanda. Move to Argentina. Move to Wisconsin.

It won’t cure your depression, but at least it’ll be interesting. It might even make you angry.
